The Sindh Rangers conducted a raid and recovered a large cache of weapons from a house in Karachi’s District Central, a Rangers spokesman said on Wednesday.
Acting on intelligence, the Rangers raided a house in the New Karachi area from where they recovered an assortment of sophisticated weapons and ammunition.
He said the recovered weapons were four light machine guns (LMGs), two submachine guns (SMGs), and a .30 bore pistol.
Ammunition found in the cache included 80 bullets for SMGs, two magazines and 10 loose bullets for .30 bore pistols.
The spokesman added that the recovered weapons belong to the Muttahida Qaumi Movement – London (MQM-L) and were used by miscreants for target killings and to create unrest in the city. Further investigations are underway.
