Alliance of Muslim countries praised
LAHORE: Tehrik Tahaffuz Harmain Sharifain (TTHS) chairman and Jamiat Ahle Hadith leader Allama Zubair Ahmad Zaheer has termed the alliance of Muslim countries a long standing dream come true for Muslim unity and a necessity to counter threats to Muslim Ummah.
Addressing a press conference at Lahore Press Club on Sunday, he said the alliance which has now become a unified platform of 41 Muslim countries, not only for political but also for the military needs, has been an earnest voice of entire Muslim people across the world. He lamented that some elements were opposing the alliance and trying to pick holes in the objectives behind it merely on the behest of enemies of Islam. He advised such elements to refrain from their unjustified opposition and instead persuade the Muslim countries outside the alliance to join its ranks to forge unity among Muslim ranks.
He praised the law passed by the parliament for mandatory Quranic education in educational institutions, and said it should have been enacted decades ago to fulfill the constitutional requirements. Other leaders Maulana Mian Tahir, Maulana Abdul Sattar Niazi, Maulana Mumtaz Awan, Muhammad Akram, Dr Abdul Ghaffar Randhawa and others were present.
