Five terrorists killed, Rangers personnel martyred
DERA GHAZI KHAN: Five terrorists were killed by the Pakistan Rangers Punjab in the tribal area of Dera Ghazi Khan on Sunday in the ongoing operation Raddul Fasaad while one Rangers man also embraced martyrdom and another was injured.
The inured soldier was shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Multan, while the operation was still in progress till the filing of the report.
According to sources, the operation was launched against Mureeda Nokani gang in the Chattri Thal area, bordering with Balochistan province and situated some 40 kilometres away from the hill resort Fort Munro.
Seeing the defence forces, criminals opened fire, killing Rangers Sepoy Kamran and injuring Deputy Superintendent Haroon. The injured was shifted to the CMH Multan. Meanwhile, in the exchange of fire, five terrorists were killed.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) press release said here on Sunday that the Rangers had launched an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in the far-off area of DG Khan.
