The elections of 27 committees of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation’s (KMC) councils have been completed.
Presiding over a meeting on Thursday, Karachi Mayor Waseem Akhtar congratulated the chairmen and members.
He said the elected members had the responsibly to perform their duties and work together for the betterment of the city.
The elected members are Aslam Shah Afridi of the HRM admin affairs committee), Nadeem Hashmi of the finance committee, advocate Arif Khan of the legal affairs committee, Sabheen Ghori of the media management committee, Khurram Farhan of the parks committee, Muzammil Shah of the veterinary committee, Arshad Husain of the land committee, Sad bin Jaffer of the katchi abadi committee, Nasir Khan of the estate committee, M Mursaleen of the charged parking committee, Rahat Hussain of the MUCT committee, Aijaz Ahmed Khan of the sports & culture committee, Hanif Surti of the recreation committee, Naheed Fatima of the medical committee, Nabi Serwer of the mother & child health committee, Qaiser Imtiaz of the investment promotion committee, Aman Khan Afridi of the fire bregade committee, Abdus Samad of the health committee, Hassan Naqvi of the works civil committee, Khaliduddin of the E&M committee, Abdul Majeed of the naming committee), Wasim Akhtar of the coordination committee, focal person Maryem Qureshi, Khurshid Afsar of the ethics committee, Munawwar Hussain of the P&D committee, M Firdous of the education coordinate committee, Ahsanullah of the foreign affair committee, and Waqas Iqbal of the business & relation committee.
