Conserve trees
Gone are the days when the province of Sindh used to have dense and deep forests. The inhabitants of the province and officers of the relevant provincial departments and also local influential person used to value both trees and forests but now, because of rapid industrialisation – theyhave become the enemies of forests
Severe shortage of water both for drinking in cities, towns and villages and for agricultural purposes, caused by the defective and flawed policies of those who manage and distribute water among the federating units, have put many trees and practical forest restoration initiatives/programmes of the provincial government in jeopardy. In a country where human lives are not, starting an initiative to conserve forests seems like a far cry.
