Emirates International Forensic Science conference concludes
DUBAI: The first edition of Emirates International Forensic Science Conference and Exhibition concluded successfully on Tuesday at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre with the launch of the International Forensic Scientific Council in Dubai. The council aims at to support scientific research and studies in the field of forensic science to fight crime and ensure peace and prosperity. It was a great success with an unprecedented number of visitors and participants that reached up to 3,000 over three days. The executive council of Emirates Forensic announced the launch of the International Forensic Scientific Council in Dubai during the last day of the event. Participants praised the degree of efficiency and the high level of scientific and research papers and scientific sessions that were presented during the conference. The first meeting of the International Forensic Scientific Council was held on Tuesday on the sidelines of the conclusion of Emirates Forensic Conference and it was attended by several participating members from the UAE, Kuwait, USA, Germany, UK, Italy, Korea, Romania, Portugal, Ireland, Holland, Austria, Switzerland, France, Scotland, and Australia. The meeting discussed plans and strategies that will be implemented at the conference, exhibition and workshops. The council also launched a scientific journal to publish all student research papers. It will forman important scientific reference for all competent authorities in this field. The three days of Emirates Forensic featured eight workshops, more than 20 scientific sessions, 100 oral presentations and over 200 poster presentations, and the parallel exhibition hosted 80 companies that showcased their latest forensic analysis equipment. The event was held under the patronage of Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council Sheikh Hamdan binMohammed binRashidAlMaktoum in co-operation with Dubai Police. The second edition of Emirates Forensic will be held from 18th to 20thMarch 2018 inDubai.
