The digital library at the Dow University of Health Sciences was officially named after its former principal, Professor Shamsuddin Rahimtoola, recently in continuation of an earlier announcement by the university to name different sections of the campus after its former teachers.

The announcement was made at a condolence meeting held at the Arag Auditorium for Professor Rahimtoola, who died on October 26, 2016. Senior faculty members, including Prof Junaid Ashraf, Prof Khalid Mehmood, Prof Masood Hameed Khan, were present on the occasion.
