PESHAWAR: Imran Bukhari was elected president and Qaisar Khan general secretary of the Crimes and Terrorism Journalists Forum here on Saturday.

The election was held at the Peshawar Press Club. Qaisar Khan was already elected general secretary and Qari Gul Rahman vice-president of the body unopposed.

In the election, Imran Bukhari defeated his rival Alamzeb with a huge margin to be elected president.  Also, Malik Rizwan, Kashif Khan, Khalid Khan and Haq Nawaz were elected members of the executive council.

The newly elected body thanked previous president Tariq Waheed, general secretary Hassan Farhan, other cabinet members and election committee for their contribution.
