Pashto book launched
BANNU: A book authored by a presidential award recipient poet Ghazi Siyal was launched here Wednesday.
Federal Minister for Housing and Works Akram Khan Durrani was the chief guest on the occasion. Several poets and people from various walks of life were present. The book titled Harfoona Khabare Kawi was launched in a ceremony held here at the Bannu Press Club.
Akram Durrani and others spoke on the occasion.The federal minister said poets and intellectuals played an important role in the nation building and advocating love and tolerance in the society by poetry. “Poets shares happiness and end hatred in the societies,” he added. He said that poets and intellectuals were perceptive people and there was a need to solve their problems on a priority basis.
Akram Durrani announced setting up an auditorium and making the Arts Council functional in recognition of services of Ghazi Siyal.
