CM approves framework for CPEC industrial cooperation

Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif here Wednesday presided over a meeting in which framework for the long-term plan and industrial cooperation under the CPEC was approved.
Addressing the meeting, the chief minister said the foundation of development and progress has been laid down with the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and China has given great favour to Pakistan by extending $54 billion package. He said a number of projects under CPEC are being completed at the fast track and they will uplift living standards of the people.
According to a handout, the CM further said CPEC would open new door of progress and prosperity in the whole region, boost economic activity and create more jobs. He said we should finalise our preparations for getting benefits from CPEC in true terms. He said remarkable positive results of CPEC were being produced, and work was in progress at the fast track on energy, infrastructure and other projects. The P&D chairman gave a detailed briefing on the framework for the long-term planning and industrial cooperation under CPEC.
