Shahbaz for women’s role in national progress
LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that the role of women in development and progress of country is vital as empowering women is a profitable investment for the formation of enlightened society.
In his message on the ‘International Day For Women’, he said there is a special protocol given to women in Islam and our religion puts a great emphasis on making women empowered and also on giving them their rights, he added.
He said in order to strengthen Pakistan women should play role in their professional disciplines. Pakistani women are strong, educated, talented and hard working; they have also proven their capabilities in every walk of life.
To stop violence against women, the Punjab government is building its first Violence Against Women Centre in Multan, same facilities will also be provided in Punjab’s different cities. For facilitating working women, the Punjab government is also building working hostels and women are also being trained under Vocational Training Council.
