NCSW welcomes merger of Fata with KP

National Commission on the Status of Women (NCSW) has welcomed the decision of Cabinet on the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) besides expressing concern over the lack of representation of tribal women in the reforms process.
In this connection, the NCSW, in a statement issued on Friday, drew the attention of the government to the deep concern expressed by NCSW’s members of KP, in particular over the lack of representation of tribal women in the reforms process. They expressed worry about women’s exclusion in the merger process.
