Hanif Merchawala appointed municipal commissioner

Hanif Muhammad Merchawala, an officer of BPS-20, has been posted as the municipal commissioner of Karachi.

According to a notification, Hanif Merchawala, was earlier serving as the director general of the Bureau of Statistics.

Merchawala possesses vast experience in administrative and financial matters.

He has a Masters degree, besides an LLB and an MBA in finance.

Merchawala’s previous assignments included stints with the finance, home, sports and other departments of the provincial government.
