One dead, another injured in Quetta firing
QUETTA: A man was killed and another injured in a firing incident on Jinnah Road, a busy commercial area of the provincial capital Wednesday.
The police sources said unknown men riding a motorcycle opened indiscriminate firing at two persons and escaped. As a result of firing, two persons were injured. They were rushed to a hospital, where one of them succumbed to his injuries. According to doctors at the Sandeman Civil Hospital, condition of the injured was critical.
Police have launched efforts to trace the criminals and investigation was under way. Meanwhile, Frontier Corps personnel have foiled a terror bid in district Loralai of Balochistan. According to media reports, FC personnel through their timely action defused a homemade bomb weighing 60 kg on University Road near a bridge. This bomb was hidden therein to target citizens and law- enforcement agencies personnel.
