Issues of Ganga Ram Hospital discussed
LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Specialised Healthcare and Medical Education Kh Salman Rafique chaired a special meeting of syndicate of Fatima Jinnah Medical University/Sir Ganga Ram Hospital on Tuesday.
According to a handout, the meeting discussed and settled the financial matters of Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Government Shahdara Teaching Hospital. The syndicate gave approval to adopt financial rules of autonomous medical institutions for Sir Ganga Ram Hospital for interim period.
The health minister directed that separate rules for Sir Ganga Ram Hospital be prepared and, for this purpose, services of a consultant also be hired and the task should be completed as early as possible.
Kh Salman Rafique directed the medical superintendent of Government Shahdra Teaching Hospital Dr Pervaiz Imtiaz to speed up the process of procurement of medical equipment for the hospital. The meeting was also attended by Specialised Healthcare Parliamentary Secretary Ch Muhammad Hassaan and FJMU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Fakhar Imam.
