President urges Muslims to follow ‘Sunnat-e-Nabvi’

Islamabad: President Mamnoon Hussain has urged the nation and the Muslim Ummah to follow the teachings of Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) and transform this world into an abode of peace and affection.
In a message on the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi, 12th Rabiul Awwal 1438 Hijra, the president congratulated the Muslim Ummah on the sacred day and said the day had brought a message of peace and tranquillity for the world.
“We should get rid of all the prejudices based upon caste, creed, colour or region and bring happiness into the lives of people in the light of last message of Holy Prophet(peace be upon him) so that the lofty values of tolerance moderation and justice could be promoted and extremism and terrorism could be annihilated he added.
He said the world today required acquaintance with the sublime teachings of Holy Prophet (peace be upon him).
As followers of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him) it was our responsibility to follow his life style and succeed in the life hereafter, he added.
The president said it was the foremost duty of Muslims to emulate teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (peace be upon him)and excel in deeds of welfare by serving the humanity and avoid such acts, which could offend or harm others lives, properties and honour. He also prayed for the progress and prosperity of the motherland.
