Softer image of Pakistan President calls for promoting cultural heritage
ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Thursday called for making concerted efforts to effectively promote the country’s rich cultural heritage for highlighting the softer image of Pakistan.
He said preservation and promotion of literary and cultural heritage strengthens bonds of fraternity brotherhood and nationhood in a society adding that educational and literary institutions can play an important role in this regard.
The president was talking to Adviser to PM Irfan Siddiqui who called on him here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. He said the government was committed to promote literary activities across the country to encourage a culture of book reading and other artistic pursuits. He emphasized the significance of spiritual and philosophical training of the youth along with acquiring modern education to make them a better and useful citizen.
