MANSEHRA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) MNA Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar inaugurated on Sunday two road projects with an estimated cost of Rs670 million in Oghi.

“We believe in prosperity of people through such mega development projects in the neglected areas but the PTI has failed to deliver in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and only creating hue and cry to derail democracy in the country,” Safdar, who is also the son-in-law of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, told the inaugural ceremony in Oghi.

Oghi-Kabal road and Paraw-Chimial road are being built with an estimated cost of Rs400 million and Rs270 million, respectively. He said the PML-N would never pardon those who plundered the national wealth and that was why a local Member National Assembly Laiq Khan, who allegedly plundered the national wealth in the last government, was facing the wrath of National Accountability Bureau.

Captain Safdar said that neither PTI Chairman Imran Khan nor Chief Minister Pervez Khattak were sincere in development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said the federal government launched several development projects in KP, particularly Oghi tehsil of Mansehra district to bring about a change in the lives of people.

The legislator said that an amount of Rs350 million was earmarked for the establishment of a girls college in Karori union council. “Work on laying of natural gas pipeline from Mansehra to Oghi is in progress, with an estimated cost of Rs4 billion,” he said, adding that several other projects were also underway.
