Dar hockey academy win AHF Inter Academy tourney
KARACHI: Pakistan’s Dar Hockey Academy hammered Malaysia’s National Sports School by 4-0 in the final of the AHF Inter Academy tournament in Malaysia.
According to reports made available on Saturday, Dar HA went ahead within the first minute through Waseem Akram’s excellent pass which was clinically finished by Usman.
There was no looking back as they continued to hunt for goals. In the 9th minute, Usman’s cross found Farhan in an excellent spot who flicked to double the lead.
The third goal was added in the 20th minute when Asif’s measured pass was flicked in by Waseem.
NSS tried to comeback into the game with some fine display of skills but Dar HA managed to regain control of the proceedings as Hammad received a long pass and dispatched it into the net.
Before the prize distribution, a one-minute silence was observed in remembrance of Pakistan’s late Olympian Mohammad Akhlaq, who died yesterday.
