700 displaced families return to Orakzai
HANGU: The remaining 700 displaced families were sent back to native areas in lower parts of Orakzai Agency on Tuesday. The tribesmen of Ferozkhel, Baizotkhel and Utmankhel tribes were sent back in a convoy of vehicles from Chaman Jina area in lower parts of Orakzai Agency. The personnel of the Frontier Corps escorted the convoy.
Commandant Orakzai Scouts Colonel Mirza Sohail Yousaf, Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Bilal and Assistant Political Agent Ashfaq Ahmad saw off the returning families. The returning families were sent back to Oblan, Bilandar, Kata Kanri, Dana Khula and Chapri areas in Orakzai.
The returning tribesmen were happy but also concerned at the same time. They said they were returning to native areas after nine years. They said the houses and other properties had been destroyed or either fallen into decay.
