ITU meeting
A meeting of the Information Technology University (ITU) syndicate was held here on Friday which approved all the agenda items presented in the meeting. The syndicate meeting chaired by ITU Vice-Chancellor Dr Umar Saif was attended by noted educationists, including Dr Zafar Iqbal Qureshi, Salima Hashmi, Dr Jawaid A Ghani, Nauman Ahmad Khan, Dr Shoaib Anwar, Sumaira Farooq, Dr Arshad Ali of HEC, Dr Nizamuddin Chairperson Punjab HEC, ITU Registrar Zaheer Sarwar and other members. The meeting was also informed that first major Computer Science conference in Pakistan “IEEE/ACM Annual Conference on ICT for Development (ICTD) 2017” will be hosted by the ITU next year.
All member of the syndicate congratulated the VC and his team for the rapid progress of the university. The syndicate meeting also approved academic regulations, policies and rules. —Correspondent
