Pemra takes action against cable operators showing Indian content
HYDERABAD: Taking action against the telecast of Indian content on the cable television, the Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) has confiscated equipment in raids in Jamshoro district.
The Pemra s focal person Rana Sher Ali informed here Thursday that the devices of two cable operators in Jamshoro and from the shops in Sehwan town were seized. He said Pemra was taking continuous action against the cable operators and the shops who were violating the Pemra instructions against showing of the Indian content.
Meanwhile, a team of Pemra took action against two cable operators for violating rules and regulations in Sialkot. Inspector Pemra Qaisar Shehzad said the team cancelled a licence of cable operator Shaukat and took action against Sajjad as he was violating rules.
