Allama Shah Turabul Haq Qadri laid to rest
Scores of mourners lined the streets of Kharadar on Friday afternoon to bid a final farewell to the widely respected religious scholar, Allama Shah Turabul Haq Qadri.
After his funeral prayers, led by his son and spiritual heir Allama Shah Abdul Haq Qadri, at the New Memon Masjid, Boulton Market, the president of Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnat Pakistan, Syed Shah Turabul Haq Qadri, was laid to rest beside the shrine of Allama Qari Muhammad Muslehuddin Siddiqui in the Khori Garden area of Kharadar. The congregation included renowned religious scholars and noted personalities from different walks of life.
The central chief of Jamaat-e-Ahle Sunnat Pakistan, Allama Mazhar Saeed Kazmi, and renowned scholar Mufti Munibur Rehman offered prayers on the occasion.
Talking to media after the ceremony, Mutthaida Qaumi Movement (Pakistan) leader Farooq Sattar said the late scholar put his best efforts to promote harmony among different schools of thoughts in the country. He served on various positions, including member of the Karachi Intermediate Board, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, nazim of the Taleemat Darul Uloom Amjadia, president of the Madaris Ahle Sunnat, Karachi, and director of the Javedan Cement Factory.
