52 govt-run colleges allowed to give admissions as per availability of seats

As many as 52 government-run colleges have been allowed to give admissions to students of class-XI as per the availability of seats in their respective institutions

The directives were issued on Thursday by the provincial director general of colleges, Professor Dr Nasir Ansar. 

Dr Ansar, who is the also chairman of the Sindh E-Centralised College Admission Programme (SECCAP) Committee-2016, stated that as per the policy of the SECCAP, the principals and in-charges of the state-run colleges of Karachi had been granted permission to accommodate students where seats were still available in various disciplines for both male and female students in the current academic session 2016-2017. 

He said the admissions would only be given to eligible students.

As per his permission, students could apply at the Government Degree Girls College, Orangi Town 11 ½,; the Government Degree Girls College, Ibrahim Hydari; the Government Degree Girls College, Shah Faisal Colony; the Government Degree Girls College, Landhi Mill Area; the Government Degree Girls College, Metrovill SITE; the Government Degree Girls College, KMC Park Sindhi Hotel, Liaquatabad; the Government Inter Girls College, Lyari; the Government Degree Girls College, Baldia Town; the Dukhtar-e-Mashriq Government Girls Degree College, Jamshed Road; the Shaheed Mohtarma Benazeer  Bhutto Government Girls College, Manzoor Colony; the Government Degree Girls College, Qasba Colony; the Government Degree Girls College, Sector 11-C Orangi Town; the Government Degree Girls College, Surjani Town; the Government Degree Girls College, Safora Goth; the Jan Muhammad Brohi Government Degree Girls College, Gulshan-e-Maymar; the Government Degree Girls College, Pak Colony; the Government Degree Girls College, Orangi 7-C; the Government Degree Girls College, Korangi 2 ½; the Government Girls College, PIB Colony.

As per the orders, students could also apply at the HRH Agha Khan Government Girls College, the Government Degree Arts and Commerce College, C-1 Area, Malir; the Liaquat Government Degree Girls College, Malir; the Government Degree Girls College, Buffer Zone; the Government Karachi College for Women, Chand Bibi Road; the Government College for Women, 11-F New; the Riaz Government Girls College, Liaquatabad; the Government Girls College, Shahnawaz Shar Goth; the Government Girls College Punjabi Club; the Government Girls College Lines Area; the Government Girls Degree College, Al-Noor; the Government Degree Boys College, Konkar Gadap; the Government Degree Boys College, Surjani Town; the Government Degree Boys College, Manghopir; the Government Degree Boys College, Baldia Town; the Government Degree Boys College, Murad Memon Goth; the Government Degree Boys College Shams, Pir Baba Bith,

The students have been advised to seek admission in the Government Degree Boys College Jungle Shah, Kemari; the Government Degree Science & Commerce College, Lyari; the Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Government Boys College, Bihar Colony; the Government Degree Boys College, Metrovill SITE; the Government Degree Boys College Asifabad; the Government Degree Science College, Malir; the Government Haji Abdullah Haroon Government College; the Government City College Evening; the Government Sirajuddullah College Evening; the Government Degree Science & Commerce College Orangi; the Liaquat Government College, Malir; the Quaid-e-Millat Government College, Liauatabad; the Government Arts & Commerce College, Malir; the ARG Government Degree College, Razzaqabad; the Government Degree Boys College, KMC Store, Nishter Road; the Aisha Bawany Government College (evening).

 Dr Ansar told The News that 90,817 admissions had already been granted in government-run colleges under the SECCAP in various disciplines.
