Father of ‘gang-rape victim’ seeks re-probe into incident
MINGORA: The father of a gang-rape victim on Thursday alleged that the police had protected their colleague in the investigation and asked the government to order reinvestigation into the case.
Speaking at a press conference here, Gul Amin alleged that his daughter was on way to her grandparents home in Kalam Bazaar when Abdul Manan kidnapped her on 13th of Ramazan.
He alleged that the accused and his brother Tahir Zaman intoxicated his daughter and shifted her to the residence of Zeeshan and Jibran, sons of Fazal Rabbi, in Peshawar.He said that his daughter was sexually abused for 13 days.
“She found an opportunity and escaped from their captivity after 13 days,” he said.He added that the girl after her escape was travelling home in Gujrat district when the police arrested her and shifted to her madrassa.
Amin Gul said that they registered first information report at the Kalam Police Station. However, he alleged that Station House Officer Munir Khan had not contacted the victim family during the investigation and was supporting the accused.
