Two women murdered in Orangi
Karachi
Two women were murdered at their house near Akbari Masjid in Sector 14/G, Orangi Town, the suspected killer believed to have committed the crime in connivance with a female family member of the victims.
Pakistan Bazar police said Sadaf, 35, and her sister-in-law, Sumbal, 22, were using a sharp-edged weapon in the wee hours of the day..
The other family members woke up in the morning and called the police when they saw the bodies.
During the initial interrogation, police detained Fahima, Submal’s sister. Fahima told the police that she had added sleeping pills in the food that the family ate and then called her neighbour Anees at about 3am.
Anees reached the rooftop, jumped into their house and murdered the two women.
The police raided Anees’ house and arrested him. Anees told the police that he and Fahima were in love with each other for the six years but his marriage proposal was turned down by Sadaf and Sumbal.
A few days back, Anees had suggested that they run away but Fahima had refused after which they had planned to kill the two women.
The police registered a case and arrested both the accused. The bodies of the two women were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
