National T20 Cup formally launched
KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially launched the Cool & Cool presents Jazz National T20 Cup 2016 at the National Cricket Academy, Lahore, on Tuesday and unveiled the event logo.
Eight teams will take part in the tournament, which begins from Thursday (tomorrow) in Rawalpindi and Multan. It will end on September 16.
Speaking on the occasion, Shakeel Shaikh, Member BoG, PCB, thanked the sponsors for their support. He assured them of competitive cricket in the tournament. “We are expecting huge crowds to witness their heroes playing,” he said.
Shahbaz Maqsood Khan, Director Marketing Mobilink, said: “‘Dunya Ko Bataa Do’ is a pledge that Jazz had taken to provide platforms and opportunities for prospective Pakistani talent to show the world their immense capabilities. “Cricket is an irrefutable passion of Pakistanis and we are constantly at a quest to bring it even closer to the people. The Jazz National T20 Cup will showcase talent from all across Pakistan and through this initiative we will be setting the foundation stone for fresh talent to make a mark and move ahead.”
