IBA to hold Islamic Finance Forum
KARACHI: Centre for Excellence in Islamic Finance at IBA has scheduled a two-day conference on International Islamic Finance on September 5-6, a statement said on Friday.
This academic cum industry conference has been designed to highlight the roadmap for the future, taking into consideration macroeconomic goals, business needs, social objectives, capacity building requirements, standardisation issues, and legal and Shariah implications.
It would bring together researchers, academicians, and practitioners for generating innovative ideas to stimulate Islamic finance growth, while overcoming present day industry challenges.
Participants from US, Malaysia, Bahrain, and Jeddah would attend the conference.
Ahmed Ali Siddiqui, Director CEIF and SEVP Meezan Bank said, "The conference will build the image of the country and will be a good platform to showcase the country's achievements in the field of Islamic finance.”
