Two bodies found in Turbat, three terrorists held in Gwadar

TURBAT: The bullet-riddled bodies of two unidentified persons were recovered here on Friday.Levies sources said they took into custody the bodies lying in the Shahrak area of Turbat after being spotted by locals. The bodies were shifted to the Civil Hospital Turbat. The identity of the deceased was yet to be ascertained.Meanwhile, security forces conducted an operation in Gwadar and arrested three terrorists allegedly involved in several blasts. A huge amount of provocative literature was also recovered from them. Three pistols, one bike and seven mobile phones were also recovered from the house they were living in.

 

Special allowance for Punjab CM’s Secretariat staff

LAHORE: Punjab Finance Department has approved special allowance for the lower cadre employees posted at Chief Minister’s Secretariat.Sources said the department had issued the notification regarding the special allowance for the employees. They said the employees would be given 50 percent of their basic pay as the special allowance from August 2016.

 

ECP declares Ch Ashraf as returned candidate from PP-97

ISLAMABAD: The Election commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Friday announced the name of Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf Warraich as the candidate returned to the Provincial Assembly from the constituency PP-97 Gujranwala-VII. The election commission has also published the name of Chaudhary Muhammad Ashraf Warraich as candidate returned to the Provincial Assembly Punjab, said spokesman of the commission. He won the by-election by defeating Mohd Nasir Cheema after re-polling at 33 polling stations including the votes cast at polling station No118 and 120 of General Elections 2013, he added.

 

PESHAWAR: The establishment of Chinese Study Centre at the University of Peshawar was materialized on Thursday during the visit of Sun Weidong, Ambassador of the Republic of China, to the varsity. The ambassador met the Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Rasul Jan and presented a cheque to the partner in the Chinese Language, Culture and Research Centre in UoP.
