Levies post in-charge martyred in Kila Abdullah attack
QUETTA: The in-charge of a Levies post was martyred when armed criminals attacked the post in kila Abdullah.
According to the Deputy Commissioner, the suspects had been involved in robberies on the Quetta-Chaman highway. When the Levies foiled an attempt to snatch a passenger van, the criminals opened fire on the Levies post, resulting in the martyrdom of Post In-Charge Dafadar Saadullah.
The DC said that after the attack, the culprits fled the scene, abandoning one of their vehicles, which was later set on fire by local residents.
According to the DPO Qila Abdullah, the hideout of the criminals in the nearby mountains has been cordoned off. An operation is underway to arrest their ringleader, Faqeer Muhammad, dead or alive. The DPO added that Faqeer Muhammad is wanted by Levies and police in around 15 murder cases. Frontier Corps personnel have also been called in to assist police in the ongoing operation.
