Three ex-secretaries in race for ETPB chief post
ISLAMABAD: The selection board conducted interviews of 37 candidates on Wednesday for appointment of regular Chairman of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB), a subsidiary institution of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The meeting of selection board continued for five hours. Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Yousaf presided over the meeting. Secretary Religious Affairs Dr Atta-ur-Rehman and representatives of Secretary Cabinet Division, Secretary Establishment Division, and Secretary Law and Justice were also present. The interview process will continue on Thursday (today).
According to sources, the ministry has shortlisted 88 candidates. On the first day, 44 candidates were called, of whom 37 participated in the interview. On Thursday, the interviews of 44 remaining candidates will be conducted.
Three retired federal secretaries are also in the race for this key position: former Secretary Religious Affairs Sardar Ejaz Khan Jaffar, former Secretary Religious Affairs Aftab Akbar Durrani and former Secretary Establishment Division Ejaz Munir.
