ISLAMABAD: The court of Judicial Magistrate Mubashir Hassan Chishti has accepted the acquittal petitions of former Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, former Federal Minister Shafqat Mahmood and several others in the real Azadi March case.
During the hearing on Tuesday, the court, while announcing its reserved verdict on the acquittal pleas, approved the petitions. However, the court dismissed the acquittal petitions submitted by multiple PTI workers.
The court adjourned the hearing for those accused whose acquittal petitions were rejected until December 9. Two cases have been registered against the former PTI leaders and others at the Bara Kahu police station.
