Breeding super bugs

Antibiotics misuse has become a major global health concern. Many people take antibiotics without any proper medical advice. Antibiotics only work for bacterial infections, not for any common cold, flu or viral infections. When antibiotics are used in the wrong way, they slowly stop working.
This problem is known as antibiotic-resistance: a situation where bacteria become stronger and no longer respond to medicines that once killed them. As a result, any ordinary infections can become harder to treat and require stronger drugs. In the worst case scenario, we may get ‘superbugs’ that can kill millions. It is crucial to promote awareness and ensure that antibiotics are used only under proper medical guidance.
