KP again wins best pavilion award at Lok Mela
PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has once again made the province proud by winning the Pakistan’s Best Pavilion Award at the Folk Festival of Pakistan “Lok Mela.” KP has become the first province to win this prestigious award for the fourth consecutive year.
Federal Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Dr. Tariq Fazal Chaudhry served as the chief guest in the closing ceremony. He was accompanied by Executive Director Lok Virsa Dr. Waqas Saleem, KPCTA Director General Habibullah Arif, Director Lok Virsa Anwar ul Haq, Director Admin and Finance KPCTA Umar Khan, Director Culture Ajmal Khan, Deputy Director Events Sanam Basheer, and other distinguished guests.
The grand and colourful ceremony at Lok Virsa, Shakarparian, concluded with the distribution of awards to all provinces, artists, singers, and pavilion teams. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa once again received the Best Pavilion Award, marking its fourth consecutive victory.
The chief guest presented awards to participants, while Lok Virsa also distributed several cash prizes. Based on the recommendations of a jury comprising seasoned cultural experts, authentic artisans, folk performers, and musicians were honoured for their contributions.
Speaking on the occasion, KPCTA DG Habibullah Arif said winning the Best Pavilion Award once again was the result of the team’s tireless efforts. “This award belongs to the entire team who worked day and night to make this event a success and once again lifted the province’s name with pride,” he said.The ceremony also featured vibrant cultural dances and captivating performances by folk musicians.
