KU announces evening online admissions for academic session 2026
The University of Karachi on Monday announced the commencement of online admissions for its Evening Program for the academic session 2026. Admissions were open for BS (first and third year) programs, as well as diploma and certificate courses. Candidates could submit their applications along with scanned copies of required documents through the online admission portal until November 28, 2025.
Admissions for the four-year BS program were available in the following departments: Actuarial Sciences and Risk Management, Agriculture, Applied Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Applied Physics, Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Botany, Business Administration (BBA), Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science (BSCS and BSSE—both entry-test based), Computational Mathematics, Criminology, Digital Media Marketing, Economics, Economics and Finance, Education, English, Environmental Studies, Financial Mathematics, Food Science and Technology, Health, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, History, International Relations, Library and Information Science, Mass Communication, Mathematics, Medical Laboratory Technology, Microbiology, Petroleum Technology, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration (BSPA), Public Policy, Quran and Sunnah, Sociology, Space Science and Technology, Special Education, Statistics, Teacher Education (B.Ed Hons.), Urdu, Women and Gender Studies, and Zoology.
Admissions in the third-year BS programs were available in: Administrative Sciences (BSAS), Applied Mathematics, Applied Statistics, Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, B.Ed (Hons. 1.5-year weekend and 2.5-year programs), Botany, Biochemistry, Business Administration (BBA), Chemistry, Commerce, Computer Science (BSCS), Criminology, Economics, Economics and Finance (BSEF), Education, English, Environmental Studies, History, Health, Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Human Resource Management (BSHRM), International Relations, Library and Information Science, Mass Communication, Microbiology, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Public Administration (BSPA), Public Policy, Quran and Sunnah, Sociology, Space Science and Technology, Supply Chain Management (BSSCM), Urdu, Women and Gender Studies, and Zoology.
The university was offering a one-year Post-Magistral Diploma in Assessment, Counselling and Psychology, and one-year Postgraduate Diploma programs in:
Computer and Information Sciences (PGD-CIS), Contemporary Arabic, Early Childhood Education (PGD-ECE weekend program), Functional Arabic, Forensic Criminology, Human Resource Management (PGD-HRM), Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Investigative Psychology, Local Government (DLG), Mathematical Epidemiology and Data Analysis, Public Administration (PGD-PA), Quranic Arabic Language, Sports Administration and Management, Statistics, Supply Chain Management (PGD-SCM), and Urdu (for foreigners only).
The university was also offering one-year and six-month certificate courses in: AAOIFI Shariah Standard, Arabic, Human Behaviour, Islamic Banking, Library and Information Science (Advanced Certificate Course), Mass Communication, Microbiology, Petroleum Technology, Prison Administration (six-month course), Social Work, Tafsir-ul-Quran, Urdu (six-month Daftari Urdu course), Urdu (one-year Professional Tadrees-e-Urdu course), Urdu (one-year course for foreigners only), and Women and Gender Studies (six-month course).
Candidates had been advised to follow the admission policy, eligibility criteria, seat availability, fee structure, and other guidelines mentioned in the prospectus.
