Over 400 students visit Sindh Rangers training centre for awareness tour
More than 400 students from various universities and religious seminaries in Karachi visited the Pakistan Rangers (Sindh) Training Centre and School as part of an educational and awareness programme, according to a press release issued by the Rangers headquarters on Saturday.
During the visit, participants were briefed on the core responsibilities, operational roles, and professional capabilities of Pakistan Rangers (Sindh). Specialised Rangers units also conducted demonstrations showcasing counterterrorism drills and tactical exercises.
The students later toured the Rangers’ Shooting and Saddle Centre, where they observed demonstrations of camel-mounted border patrols and live-fire exercises typically carried out along the frontier.
Director General Rangers Sindh Major General Muhammad Shamraiz addressed the students, stating that Pakistani youth were talented and represent the bright future of the country. He said young people play an essential role in maintaining peace and combating social evils, adding that the passion and patriotism displayed by the nation’s youth during times of crisis had always been commendable.
Students also raised questions regarding Karachi’s security situation, to which the DG Rangers provided detailed and satisfactory responses. The visitors appreciated the Rangers’ efforts in maintaining peace in Karachi and thanked the force for organising the informative tour.
