CDA reshuffles officials

ISLAMABAD: With approval of top management of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Waqas Ali Khan, a BS-18 officer has been given additional charge of Director Sports and Culture.

Waqas, who is on deputation in the CDA, is already serving as Director Solid Waste Management in the authority. His predecessor Malik Attaullah was removed as Director Sports and Culture along with 85 other officials and asked to report to Human Resource Directorate.

Director Building Control (North) Javed Ahmed Feroze has been posted as Deputy Director General Metro, Director (Contracts) Nasir Jamil Butt shall hold charge of Director Building Control (South), Deputy Director DMA has been given the additional charge of Director Labour Relations while Director Structure (Services) Khurram Mumtaz is appointed Director Monitoring.

The Human Resource Directorate (HRD) has also issued a notification according to which 20 officers including a BS-19 Director Planning Faraz Malik, five deputy directors and others will continue under suspension and as reported to HRD. These officers were suspended and directed to report to HRD nearly a year back.

Islamabad Region Cricket Association President Shakil Shaikh has welcomed appointment of Waqas Ali as Director Sports and Culture in CDA. He expressed the hope that he would play an active role for promotion of sports in the federal capital.
