Sindh police chief Ghulam Nabi Memon on Monday chaired a review meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) regarding the organisation of the Sindh Police Games 2025.

The chairman of the Sindh Police Sports Board gave a briefing on the arrangements for the Sindh Police Games, scheduled to take place from November 19 to 22 in Karachi. He stated that 1,570 personnel, including 117 women, from various police units would participate in the event, which would feature 18 different sports competitions over four days. Participants from interior Sindh would be provided accommodation, transport, and practice facilities, all of which had been finalised.

IGP Memon emphasised that sports activities were essential for mental and physical well-being, especially alongside daily professional duties. He said such activities not only promote health but also help identify the hidden talent within the police force. He directed that participants must be provided with the best accommodation, food, transport, and practice arrangements. He further instructed that strict security arrangements be ensured at all competition venues. The meeting was also attended by Karachi police chief Javed Alam Odho and other senior officials.

Later, Additional IG Karachi Odho chaired a separate meeting at the Karachi Police Office to review security arrangements for the 35th National Games 2025. The meeting was attended by the DIG admin, zonal DIGs, DIG security and emergency services, DIG traffic, DIG special branch, and other senior officers. Officials reviewed the security plan, deployment strategy, and traffic arrangements for the peaceful conduct of the national games.

Odho directed all officers to strengthen communication and ensure foolproof security at sports venues, surrounding areas, team accommodations, administrative locations, and hotels. He said the Karachi police would uphold law and order through its professional capabilities during national-level events.
