A young Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) worker was gunned down in what police suspect to be a targeted attack in Orangi Town. The victim, identified as 23-year-old Shoaib Iqbal, was a member of the social media team of Orangi Town Chairman Haji Jameel Zia.
According to police, the incident took place near Shisha Wali Masjid in Sector 11.5, Yaqoobabad, within the jurisdiction of the Iqbal Market police station on the night between Sunday and Monday.
Shoaib was on his way home when armed assailants lying in wait opened fire on him. A bullet struck him in the chest, causing his instant death.
