Water supply project expected to finish in a week
Rawalpindi: To provide clean water to the citizens, a 36-inch diameter pipeline is being laid from Rawal Dam to increase the supply of 5 million gallons of water per day under the Dreams-1 project. The total length of this pipeline is 9.6 kilometers, out of which 7 kilometers of pipeline laying has been completed.
Under this project, the work of laying 600 meters of pipeline on Sixth Road is still pending, which is being worked on.
However, due to the dense population and being the busiest area of the city, there were obstacles in completing the work here, which have been removed and now the pipeline work on Sixth Road will be completed in a week.
Managing Director WASA Rawalpindi Muhammad Saleem Ashraf said in this regard that this is an important project regarding public welfare and water supply and we apologize for the difficulties faced by the citizens during its completion, but the completion of this project will help to solve the water problem of Rawalpindi city.
