Militant killed, 3 cops injured in Karak clash

KOHAT: A militant was killed and three cops sustained injuries in a clash between the police and terrorists in the mountainous Amberi Qilla area of Karak district on Wednesday.

Karak District Police Officer (DPO) Shahbaz Elahi said that the police launched a search operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.During the search operation, an exchange of fire between the police and terrorists took place in the mountainous Amberi Qilla area.

As a result, a terrorist was killed and three police personnel, including DSB In-charge Akhtar Hayat, Constables Najeebullah, and Mujahid were injured.The injured cops were shifted to the KDA Hospital for medical treatment.

The condition of the injured personnel was stated to be out of danger.It was also reported that several terrorists were injured in the encounter. The exchange of fire between the police and militants was continuing.
