Changing weather may cause health threats
Rawalpindi : A significantly heavy rainfall on Tuesday along with a considerably heavy hailstorm would turn the weather chilly in this region of the country including the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi and the adjoining hilly areas that may cause health threats, mainly mild to moderate for healthy persons but severe complications in cases of chronic patients.
It is important that the hailstorm hints towards the setting in of winter in this region of the country and according to health experts, individuals should take extra care to avoid health threats at the time of sudden variation in temperature and a sharp fall in mercury being expected ahead.
Health experts suggest that chronic patients including those suffering from heart diseases, hypertension, high blood pressure and other chronic ailments must take extra care to avoid serious complications that the harsh weather can cause.
Many health experts believe that the majority of population do not take serious preventive measures to safeguard themselves and their children from health threats at the time of sharp fall in mercury that causes a sharp rise in the number of cases of colds, sore throat, cough, flu and asthmatic problems in adults and upper and lower respiratory tract infections including pneumonia among children.
