Karachi students clinch top three positions in MDCAT 2025
In the MDCAT 2025 test, Karachi students won the battle and the first three positions went to Karachi students, while 41 candidates out of the 124 candidates in the top ten are from this city.
According to the preliminary results of the IBA Sukkur MDCAT, of the majority of students who got A1 and A grades from educational boards across Sindh, 56 percent candidates failed the MDCAT test for MBBS, while 48 percent of the candidates for BDS failed the test. According to the results, 14,300 candidates were successful by scoring 55 percent (99) or more marks, while 17,123 candidates for BDS succeeded by scoring 50 percent (90) or more marks. Thus, 56 percent of the candidates failed the MBBS test while 48 percent of the candidates failed the test for BDS.
According to the MDCAT results, Syed Mahmood Khan, son of Adalat Khan, from Karachi’s District West scored the highest marks in MDCAT, scoring 175 out of 180. Faisal Ashraf Khan, son of Naveed Ashraf Khan, from Karachi’s Korangi and Shiraz Hussain, son of Niaz Hussain Mugheri, from Qambar Shahdadkot District were in second place with 174 marks. Muhammad Rayan Humayun, son of Humayun Farooq, from Karachi’s East, Mah Noor Shahnawaz, daughter of Syed Shahnawaz Hussain, and Hira Abid, son of Abid Ali Seito, from Hyderabad were in third place with 173 marks. Some 124 candidates were among the top ten, out of whom 41 candidates are from Karachi. IBA Sukkur University Vice Chancellor Dr. Asif Sheikh said that the provisional results of MD CAT 2025 have been formally announced and candidates have been given time to register their complaints till 5pm on November 1, 2025. If there is any complaint, then register it via email. The final results will be released on Sunday at 5pm.
