Rangers bust two criminal gangs
11 suspects arrested; groups were involved in over 100 snatching and robbery cases

The paramilitary force on Tuesday claimed busting two criminal gangs involved in robberies and other crimes.
The spokesman for the Sindh Rangers said the personnel conducted raids in Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulshan-e-Maymar, Sohrab Goth and Malir, and arrested 11 suspects; arms, ammunition and stolen cell phones were recovered from their possession.
He added that those arrested belonged to two groups, the first comprised Mohammed Kashif, Dilshad alias Papa, Salman, Mohammed Wasif, Waseem Akhtar alias Fauji, Mujahid Hussain and Fahad.
The accused confessed to having committed more than 60 robberies in which they had snatched a number of cell phones from different parts of the city.
The second group consisted of Jawed Raza, Raheel Omer, Waqas Haider and Tauseef who during investigation confessed of snatching purses, cell phones and were also involved in purchasing and selling of gold. The accused had initially confessed of committing more than 50 crimes of similar nature. They were later handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.
