Youth kills aunt, accusing her of blasphemy

GUJRANWALA: A youth killed his aunt allegedly over a blasphemy issue in People’s Colony police limits on Wednesday.

It was reported that accused Ghulam Mursaleen, a resident of Multan, had come to Gujranwala to visit his aunt. On the day of incident, the accused had an argument with his aunt, and later slit her throat with a sharp-edged weapon. Hearing the noise, the people rushed to the spot and caught the accused. The police have arrested the accused and started investigation. The victim’s body was shifted to the district headquarters hospital for autopsy. During preliminary investigation, the suspect told the police that his aunt had committed blasphemy.
