PTI leaders urge dialogue-based peace in tribal districts
BARA: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) local leaders from the Bar Qambarkhel tribe on Wednesday thanked the party founder Imran Khan for choosing Muhammad Sohail Afridi as chief minister.
Addressing a press conference at Bara Press Club, Abid Afridi and others hoped that comprehensive and effective measures would be taken to restore peace in the tribal districts through a strong and structured dialogue process instead of relying on military operations.
The speakers said that Sohail Afridi’s selection as chief minister truly reflected Imran Khan’s long-standing affection for the tribal people, his commitment to their progress and prosperity, and his consistent opposition to military operations and drone attacks at national and international forums.
They congratulated Sohail Afridi on his election as chief minister and hoped that under his leadership, not only the tribal districts but also the southern regions of the province would witness the elimination of lawlessness.
