Shahid Afridi distributes schoolbags, shoes in Bara
BARA: Pakistan cricket team former captain and Chairman of Shahid Afridi Foundation Shahid Khan Afridi on Tuesday distributed shoes and bags among 200 orphans and schoolchildren in the Bar Qambarkhel area in Bara tehsil of Khyber district.
He met with local elders, youth and schoolchildren in the area. Speaking on the occasion, he said that the people of Khyber district and particularly Bara Tehsil had been facing unrest and various kinds of problems for the past many years.
“There is a lack of education and health facilities as well as clean drinking water in the area,” he said, adding that his foundation was working to provide clean drinking water and financial assistance to the poor and orphans in the area. He said that Shahid Afridi Foundation was working to solve problems of the people and was also paying attention to the welfare of orphans and helpless children.
