CCPO reviews security at Torkham border

LANDIKOTAL: Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Mian Saeed Ahmad on Tuesday visited Khyber district and Torkham border, reviewing services and security measures.

Upon the arrival, District Police Officer (DPO), Khyber, Rai Mazhar Iqbal, Superintendent of Police, Investigation, Rohul Amin and other officers received him.A police contingent presented a guard of honour, while the CCPO laid floral wreaths at the police Shuhada monument and offered prayers for the martyrs.

Later, the CCPO inspected the police facilitation centre, traffic driving school and control room, where he reviewed services and interacted with the people.He also chaired a meeting at the DPO office.Mazhar Iqbal briefed him on the current security situation, peace efforts, police performance and ongoing crackdown against criminals, particularly narcotics (ice/meth).

Welfare cheques were distributed among police personnel on the occasion.Saeed Ahmad said Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police’s history was marked with sacrifices and bravery. He praised Khyber police personnel for their professionalism and courage despite difficult circumstances, urging them to continue their efforts.
