AI-powered Smart Corridor at Dubai Airport : Immigration now takes just seconds
DUBAI: Dubai International Airport has introduced the Smart Red Carpet Corridor for passengers, allowing immigration formalities to be completed in just a few seconds.
The advanced system eliminates the need to present a passport or boarding pass, and up to 10 passengers can pass through the corridor simultaneously. This facility is the world’s first AI-powered passenger corridor and is currently available at Terminal 3, Business Class Departure Hall.
Dubai authorities say the system is particularly beneficial for families, as it saves time while making the immigration process smoother and faster.
According to General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) Dubai: “The Smart Red Carpet Corridor is a revolutionary service for passengers at Dubai Airport, enabling immigration procedures to be completed in just seconds.
There are plans to expand this facility across all terminals in the future. We aim to enhance Dubai Airport with more digital services.”
