PMLN MNA says projects in Chitral to be completed
CHITRAL: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) Member of the National Assembly Ghazala Anjum on Thursday said that the development projects in the district would be completed.
Speaking to party workers and local media at her residence, she said that after 2008, both the country and Chitral were pushed into decline as development projects were halted. She added that Pakistan, once progressing rapidly, was dragged backwards, but the PMLN government saved the nation from bankruptcy. “Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, with his political foresight, rescued the country’s sinking economy,” she said.
Anjum said the people of Chitral must now realize who their true well-wishers are. She assured that the projects announced by former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in 2013 for Upper and Lower Chitral would be completed during the present government’s tenure.
She said work on Lowari Tunnel approach road, Chitral-Garum Chashma road, Chitral-Booni-Shandur road, and Chitral-Kalash valleys road was underway on the directives of the prime minister and would be further expedited. She also mentioned that the federal government was seriously considering the strategic importance of the Mastuj- Broghil road, while continuous funding was being provided for the Booni-Buzund road through the provincial government.Earlier, she was given a warm welcome on her arrival in Chitral, as party workers and locals greeted her from Lowari Tunnel to Chitral town.
